Our Farm

Our small dairy goat farm is nestled into the slope of a plateau, in the drylands of the Colorado Front Range. Despite the challenges posed by the slopes and lack of irrigation for our pastures, we are committed to practicing sustainable, regenerative, farming and food production.

The Home Of Dolly & Co.

In collaboration with Drylands Agroecology Research, we have embarked on a long-term project to rejuvenate the soil. Combining regenerative grazing techniques, along with strategies to reduce water run-off and encourage the growth of native and carbon-fixing grasses, shrubs, and trees, our goal is to bring life back into the soils, and create healthy pastures that will supplement the feeding of our goats. And if the elk, mule deer, and prairie dogs (not to mention coyotes, bobcats, and the occasional mountain lion) benefit too, all the better!

We believe in making the most of every resource, and limiting waste whenever possible. The barn which houses our cheesemaking facility is fitted with a solar roof that produces enough power to support itself, as well as our residence. Whey, a by-product of cheesemaking, is not discarded, but is fed to the pigs and chickens we raise in collaboration with our sister farm, Chubba Wubba, contributing to a more sustainable farming ecosystem. We have also implemented wastewater monitoring and are working with our regulatory agencies to determine if the water can be distributed on the land rather, than pumped and trucked away.

We offer farm tours during the summer, and seasonally, sell pork, chicken, and turkey. We’ll be updating this site with additional information as spring approaches.
